Hindustan Trainer [HT-2] took its first flight in August 1951. It was designed and developed by HAL for the training of pilots. It is an all-metal trainer aircraft with single CIRRUS MAJOR III piston engine, low wing monoplane and fixed undercarriage. Two pilots in tandem seat arrangement with duplicated controls and instruments. HANSA is an all-composite light aircraft ideal for AB-Initio training, sport and hobby flying. It was designed and developed by the National Aerospace Laboratories, Bangalore. It has two blades, constant speed HOFFMAN propeller and Rotax 914F3 turbocharged engine. KIRAN was designed and developed by HAL under the leadership of Dr. V.M. Ghatage. Kiran MK-1 has Rolls Royce Viper II turbojet engine with maximum thrust of 1134 kg and MK-2 has Orpheus 70105 turbojet en
