Gangnani lies shortly after crossing the Ganga bride en route Harsil and Gangotri. As one passes through the bazaar, stop and walk up the steep stairs to the garam pani hot springs that bring down sulphur water from the womb of the earth, from deep beneath the Himalayan mountains. People from the local village visit and bathe here each day, as the hot sulphur water is said to be salubrious and healthful.
