Kundo or Jasminum multiflorum can only be used to make garlands for a Manipuri wedding. Two garlands are made for the groom and the bride, by the bride herself early morning on the day of wedding. The flower should be arranged in specific ways which is believed to strengthen the bond of the newly weds. These garlands are preserved and kept intact till the death of the couple.
