Chang folks displaying traditional ritual known as 'Laaugh Ngabü Tetsida' during the Hornbill Festival. Laaugh Ngabü is a ritual practice by the Chang's during drought. These ritual is practice and monitored mainly by the 'Hongngang' clan of the Chang tribe. They were designated to conduct these ritual since ancestral times and no other clan is entitled to perform it. These ritual is preformed to invoke blessings in the form of abundant rain-fall for cultivation. As winter slowly penetrates the hilly state of Nagaland, in North East India, a festive mood seeps into the valleys. There is a buzz in the air.
