Seen here are the 45th Battalion of the BSF (Border Security Forces) on a goodwill mission to promote girls education by distributing books to children in a Kaziranga, Assam. The Civic Action Programme by the Central Para Military Forces in the North East regions of India started out during the financial year 2005. Under the program the paramilitary forces hold medical camps, sanitation drives, sports meet, distribution of study material to children, minor repairs of school buildings, roads, bridges etc. and running adult education centers. This effort is undertaken with a motive to take the local people into confidence so that the forces can drive out the insurgency problem which have crippled the beautiful regions for decades.
