The Directorate of Handloom and Handicrafts in Gangtok, Sikkim provides skill training in bamboo and cane handicrafts, embroideries, and others. They aim to provide skill training employment opportunities and also promote traditional Sikkimese handicrafts and handloom products on the national and international platforms. At the centre skill training for bamboo and cane products are underway. Decorative items are made and displayed at the centre. Embroidery training, other works of art through sewing are given to women.
