Kachari tribe performing a folk dance ' Bai Maijai' during Hornbill Festival at Naga Heritage village. This dance is performed in olden times upon receiving news of victory, the women folks of the village goes half way to receive the victorious warriors. With rocks in their hands portraying the invincibility of their home coming hereos, the women folk dance jubilantly in celebration of the momentous event. Nagaland, 'The Land of Festivals' and the warm Naga people, lies in the North Eastern part of India. Historically, the Nagas are known as headhunters and have always been brave warriors. Sometimes Nagaland is also referred to as "The Switzerland of the East". The region is primarily hilly and has a pleasant climate all through the year.
