A trip down memory lane when the only form of 'expensive' transport was the kaali-peeli Ambassador taxi cab, booked through your friendly local sardarji taxi stand wallah in Delhi. Tings are a-changing, though, and the Uber and Ola sorts of this world have thrown a serious spanner in the works. The days of the yellow-black taxis of Delhi are clearly numbered. So before they are gone for good, take a trip down this memory lane of yore! Can drivers read newspapers to while away their time while waiting for savaaris / passengers, and even sanitize their car insiders, hoping to create a safe Covid free environment. Of course, more efficient engines of Maruti Suzuki cars seem to be replacing the clunky old HM Ambassador. This footage is part of the broadcast stock footage archive of Wilderness
