Denzil Britto says "These particular rocks which we see are known as welded tuff. The welded tuff started to formed somewhere around 7750 million years ago. After the volcanic eruption and the ash and debris which blasted out from the volcanic vents and which can travel at a certain distance or maybe massive distance. Once it settles down then with the heat ash and debris combine and forms independent molecules and thats where the term welded tuff comes to life." Welded tuff is a pyroclastic rock, of any origin, that was sufficiently hot at the time of deposition to weld together.
