IT world 2000 Comdex opens at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. Minister of Information Technology, Pramod Mahajan, inaugurated the event. Comdex India show, which opened at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, failed to attract large crowds indicating that people need a break from IT shows after several held in a row in the capital recently. 150 participants from India and abroad were present in the event. Nasscom president, Dewang Mehta and Hindustan Lever chairman, M S Banga were other top luminaries who attended the opening ceremony.
