Indian widow girl - Rukmini teaching children in school. This is an excerpt from a feature film project directed and written by Mr. Sharat Kumar, for Ahiranya Films of which he is the director. Rukmini : This is a 40 minute short film shot in 16 mm. It has been entered in the Punta del Este Documentary & Fiction Festival. A brief phrase about the film, as sent to this Festival, reads: "This is the story of a young Indian girl in the 1920's. She is married off to a sick man and becomes a widow within a year.
