At Jageshwar Dham, a revered temple complex in Almora district, devotees are seen performing puja rituals among a cluster of over 124 ancient stone temples. The परिसर is surrounded by tall Deodar cedar trees (Cedrus deodara), whose name derives from the Sanskrit “Devadaru,” meaning “Wood of the Gods.” These evergreen trees form a dense, sacred canopy typical of Himalayan temple sites. Visitors move between shrines, offering prayers and rituals in a शांत वातावरण. The scene reflects spiritual activity within a historically significant and forested Himalayan pilgrimage site.
