Local people of Patan are preparing their camel carts for tourists. Camel carts are for easy access to Patan Palace, it can easily go through the narrow lanes of Patan. Royal cenotaphs are built in the memory of Maharajas of Patan. These cenotaphs belong to Patan Mahal. Patan is a city in the Indian state of Rajasthan. In the 12th century, it became the centre of a minor state called Tanwarawati or Torawati (after Tanwar/Tomar the clan name) ruled by the Tomara clan the chief of which the Rao of Patan is considered the direct in descent from Anang Pal Tomar the ruler of Delhi before Prithviraj Chauhan.
