Taking cognisance of the circumstances in which the business tycoon Rajan Pillai passed away on 7th July 1995 the National Human Rights Commission has said that it will issue notices to the Delhi Chief Secretary and the Inspector General of Tihar Jail asking them to submit reports on matter within four weeks earlier. The fugitive biscuit King was arrested in Delhi after being convicted by court in Singapore on charges of financial fraud which had sought his extradition Mr. Pillai who was produced before the extradition Court had his demand for hospitalisation on medical ground turned down by the judicial magistrate however, the same day Rajan Pillai's condition deteriorated in Tihar and he was taken to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital nearby where he passed away.
