This time Australian cricketers Mark Waugh and Shane Warne admitted to the allegations against them that they had taken the bribe from a gambler. By admitting this they shocked the whole world. Mark Waugh said," During the 1954 Sri Lanka match series I had given information about the weather and pitch.But I never mentioned anything about the lineup. For that, I got 6000 dollars" Shane Warne also gave a statement saying," I am terribly upset by this incident. I was given punishment by the board and returned the money immediately to the board.I always have played faithfully for my country". These two Australian cricketers were given the money during the 1954 Sri Lanka Pakistan series in
