Livestock (cows and buffaloes) graze in a grassland. A Maruti Suzuki Gypsy of the forest department stands next to a forest checkpoint hut, while a pair of villagers gather leaves from the forest and bring back chara (fodder or feedstock) for their cows. Illegal rampant grazing takes place at the edges of national parks across India and is difficult to control.
