Surfing in Indonesia. A former fishing village, Kuta is a district (kecamatan) and subdistrict / village (kelurahan) in Southern Bali, Indonesia. It was one of the first towns on Bali to see substantial tourist development. It is also one of Indonesia's major tourist destinations as a beach resort.
