Bronze-winged Jacana (Metopidius indicus) is a widespread resident of the Indian Subcontinent, largely absent from Pakistan and Srilanka. ID Features : Dark upperwing and underwing. Adult has a white supercilium, bronze-green upperparts, and blackish underparts. Juvenile has Orange-buff wash on breast, short-white supercilium, and yellowish bill. Call : A short harsh grunt and a wheezy, piping seek-seek-seek. Habitat : Freshwater wetlands well vegetated with floating plants.
