Driving from Srinagar to Pampore on NH 1

The drive from Srinagar to Pampore is a short one as Pampore is just about 11 kilometres from Srinagar. Just out of Srinagar after the Badami Bagh Cantt lies the Pantha Chowk, a right turn from which takes one to Baramulla. Though one is greeted by heavy traffic on the way to Jammu but it serves the purpose of allowing time to observe the beautiful details of the Kashmir valley. Right after Pampore and before reaching the Saffron fields, one is greeted by silk farms and mulberry trees.
