CPU's are being checked in a computer factory. Fault isolation is also known as "fault diagnosis," the term may refer to hardware or software, but always deals with methods that can isolate the component, device or software module causing the error. A person performs AMIDIAG PC hardware test. AMIDiag is a suite of windows and DOS-based diagnostic tools which report on a staggering amount of hardware and software settings, and conduct an equally staggering number of tests. A person applies Elixir labels on the CPU. The machines go through Burn-in test in which a system or component is made to run for an extended period of time to detect problems. Burn-in may be conducted to ensure that a device or system functions properly before it leaves the manufacturing plant or may be part of a repair
