Milk overflows from the overfilled udders of a cow. The milk first drip-drops out, then flows and then spurts out! The cow has not been milked as it's been brought to the fair, for sale. The udders leak out milk as it has neither been collected nor fed to her calf. These rather healthy cows are hybrids that are for sale in the state of Bihar in India, at the largest animal fair in the world. A cow produces milk after she has a calf. The mother cow makes a very special milk for her calf; it is called colostrum. Colostrum has extra vitamins and protein and is very good for the calf. Even after the calf is weaned, the mother cow still makes milk. In fact, milk cows produce up to 8 gallons of milk per day. Milk is stored in the cow’s udder. The udder is a large bag with four teats. Now she is
