Major General B. C. Khanduri says "The parties must decide amongst themselves what step they can take and I think it is time now for us to also think of legal measures. Whereby certain types of charges and a certain type of people with criminal charges are prevented from contesting. We need to find a solution because if it kept pending then it will come to individual parties which is not working." B.C.Khanduri is the Chief minister of Uttarakhand. He was sworn in as the Chief Minister of the state by Governor Sudarshan Aggarwal on March 8, 2007. He was also a former Union Minister of India.
