The International Broadcast Centre (IBC) is a temporary hub for broadcasters during major sport events. In 2010, the World's Commonwealth Games were held in New Delhi, India. This was the first time that India hosted the games. The games were watched by over 2 billion people, worldwide. In order to broadcast the games, an International Broadcasting Center was created. This was created and managed by Shaf Broadcasting and Global Television. The IBC acted as the media hub for the games that took place Oct. 3rd-14th. The 2010 games were the first ever to be broadcast in full HD. The IBC was the first ever of its kind and was seen as a landmark in technical design and HD broadcasting. The IBC was inaugurated on the 20th of September, at 3:30 pm by the Honorable Minister for Information and Bro
