Normal life in the city of Mumbai came to a standstill for the past two days as the city got battered by heavy rainfall during the weekend. NDRF teams have been deployed for rescue operations in several districts. Slight delay in flight operations has been reported but no cancellations have been reported. The India Meteorological Department forecast light to moderate rains for Mumbai, and heavy rains in isolated places in adjoining Thane, Palghar and Raigad districts.
