Indian female workers of iMithila Handicraft and Handlooms company in Darbhanga district of Bihar make Mithila paintings on cattle, watch and clothes. They engrave the design with ink and fountain pen. There are floral print, prints of Indian women and Lord Krishna and Radha print. They make handbags, wall watch, utensils, and other handicrafts. Most of the apparels there are hand woven by them. Mithila painting is the oldest form of painting recorded on Earth. Legend has it that Janak, the King of Mithila, had a daughter Sita out of Mother Earth. When Sita got married to Lord Rama, Raja Janak got a whole of his kingdom decorated with a description of nature, earth, faith, joy & luck in natural colors made from flowers, turmeric, goat milk etc. These depictions later took the form of paint
