Archival footage shows Uttarkashi, a hill town in the Garhwal Himalaya, with an older bus stand and Tata and roadways buses. One bus has “Jai Kashi Vishwanath” painted across its windscreen as passengers and vehicles move through the area. A busy market stall displays fresh litchis, while devotees offer flowers and water to a Shiva lingam inside a temple. The footage also shows a garlanded statue on a pedestal near a signboard for the Garhwal Hotel.
