Kachars or mules and parasol plastic sheet covered yatris or pilgrims walk up from Katra to the Mata Vaishnoi devi shine near Jammu. Some devout Hindus undertake this moderate walk up to pray to their Maa Vaoishno Devi, chanting Jai Mata Di along the way, as they walk up. The covered walkways make for a relatively urban and tame walk, surely!
