"Established in the year 1887 by Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad III, Baroda Museum and Art Gallery is a known repository of artifacts, sculptures, ancient manuscripts in Gujarat. The building of the museum, which is one of the finest examples of the Indo-Saracenic style of architecture, was designed by Mant and Chisholm and built by Sayajirao in 1849.
