Time lapse of clouds over Shivling from Gaumukh. Now wouldn't it have been a perfect shot if a Snow Leopard had walked the skyline ridge in front of Shivling???!! Gaumukh translates to a cow's mouth, the mythological source of the river. Originally, the river sprouts from the snout of the Gangotri glacier, which might have looked like a cow's mouth in the past. The glacier is at a distance of 9 kilometres from the famous Gangotri temple, dedicated to goddess Ganga.
