Gujarat is a state of traditional dance and music performances. A group of men and women decked up in colorful clothes perform Dandiya Raas creating an atmosphere of celebration and joy. Dandiya Raas one of the most fascinating dances of this state. During the festival of Navratri, this dance is not only performed in Gujarat but throughout the country. This dance form is a special attraction of the festival. The festival is celebrated in honor of the nine incarnations of the Mother Goddess. Devotees fast for nine days with the days marked with puja and nights with vibrant dance performances. Not only the people but also the government of the state makes arrangements for the Dandiya dance event. Dandiya Raas dance form is performed in a group consisting of men and women.
