This year's winter snowfall has set a record of sorts! We normally don't experience more than a few inches of snow at a time in the Landour-Mussoorie region. This year, we have had a sustained two weeks of repeated snowfall which has turned to ice on the steep and narrow road leading up from Ruskin Bond's house and Momo's Doma's Restaurant up to Char Dukani and Rokeby Manor. Some of the best SUV's have not been able to handle the icy conditions and skiddiness and have backed off to Mussoorie. Regardless, Landour was left looking lovely and aloof!
