Dangling cables and messy electrical installations in Old Delhi. Residents of Old Delhi live in constant dread of cables overhanging their streets. The tangle of naked wiring is a major cause for concern. The number of cables keeps increasing with the growing requirement. Every day, a new commercial establishment opens, and with it the (power) load, too, goes up. There have been several episodes of transformer fires outside the market due to short-circuiting.
