Hindu priests perform rituals around a Shiva Lingam during a Maha Shivratri religious ceremony. A priest in traditional attire conducts the puja while reciting mantras, with Nandi, the bull associated with Lord Shiva, positioned facing the Lingam. Brass deities, stone idols and other traditional ritual objects are arranged around the shrine. In another part of the ceremony, priests and devotees sit together on striped carpets while preparing and participating in the religious rituals. Scripture, brass plates, lamps, offering vessels and a decorated wooden altar are arranged among the participants.
