Mountaineers clearing snow from the ground so they can pitch a tent on snow. After that they are setting up a tent for themselves. When you are choosing a sight for your tent, you need to look around. Having your tent in the sunlight during the day can do a lot to keep it just a little bit warmer by the time you get in it. It may not seem like much, but it can make a difference. Another thing to look out for are branches above you. Snow makes branches heavy and old branches have a chance of breaking. Make sure your area looks safe before you start to set up. As you may have noticed, setting up this camp will probably take longer than you are used to.
