Inside the Chandigarh Architecture Museum, records of the city prior to its planned status in the form of newspaper clippings are kept. The blueprints of designing the city and the museum building are also displayed here. Photographs of the individuals who spearheaded the designing of the city post-independence are displayed. Stills of life in Chandigarh in the early independence period can be seen here. Letters written between the then Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru and the architects are also displayed in the museum. Chandigarh is India's first planned city and the city was planned with the involvement of French architects.
