Landing at Leh is not easy. This is a video from the 1990's. Due to the high altitude and the rarified air, as well as the steep approach into the Leh valley, this Indian Airlines aeroplane has to land at one end of the runway and then brake rather rapidly to decelerate in time for it to reach the other end of the runway. In the process, it lunrches forward while braking. This footage is part of the broadcast stock footage archive of Wilderness Films India Ltd., the largest collection of HD imagery from South Asia.
