Former TV presenter and actress Mandira Bedi in an interview talks about the initial days of women's cricket in India and her involvement and experiences in fundraising for the women's cricket team. Mandira Bedi: "This is one thing that just happened and that is I took on the course of finding funding for the women's cricket team. Our women's cricket team is playing very well. We just had the New Zealand series and won with 4-1. But very few people know about it. So the exposure is very less and they need a lot of funding. So when I met some members of the women's cricket association, I said I would like to take this cause and the response has been wonderful."
