Cultural exchange programme to strengthen India-Bangladesh relations held in Tripura. A five-day painting exhibition and cultural exchange programme between India and Bangladesh was organised in Tripura, with the aim of improving relations between the two nations through people-to-people contact. The event was inaugurated by Bangladesh Member of Parliament Ziaul Haque Mridha, with Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor Prafullajit Sinha and Tripura Deputy Speaker Pabitra Kar also in attendance. Mridha said that such events will help in strengthening the bonds between the two countries and will pave the way for socio-economic development.
