Raj Kapoor's daughter Ritu Nanda recalls a memory about him: In 1952, Prithviraj Kapoor was in Indore, on 4 September, performing his play Deewar. He was informed that his son Raj Kapoor has had a son who came to be Rishi Kapoor! When his break came, he went to his audience and informed them of this good news. A telegram came in to Raj Kapoor on 28 September 1982, congratulating him on the birth of another Kapoor - this time Ranbir Kapoor!"
