Sailing on the backwater of Kerala. One can see life in backwaters and coconut tree plantation on the banks...... Houseboats or kettuvalloms. Holuseboats are comfortably furnished with an open lounge, living room, one or two bath. Kerala houseboats or Kettuvallam are country boats that were used to transport goods in early days from the isolated village of Kerala backwater to the main towns. Houseboats are 80 feet long and have a luxuriously furnished rooms. The interiors of houseboats is unbelievable. And one can say its a house on water. The interiors are design using cane, wood, bamboo etc..
