Thamel the tourist district of Kathmandu, Thamel bustles with activity late in night. Thamel is a tourist hub and a shopping centre. One can buy clothes, souvenir made of brass and metal including traditional Nepal knife are sold at various shops in Thamel. People in large number come out for night shopping in Kathmandu's tourist quarter, Thamel. However the devastating earthquake that hit Nepal on 25th April not only jolts Nepal but also had a direct impact on local tourism.
