It was a dramatic event but low key in the execution. As the police entered heavily at Poes Garden, Chennai on the 6th of December morning, the occupant, the former Chief Minister and supremo of the AIADMK party was in morning prayer. Two and a half hours later at 9:45 AM J.Jayalalitha was formally arrested up by the police and produced before the city magistrate who ruled that she should be kept in judicial custody until the 21st of December.
