From the Shimla railway station to the mall and higher reaches, Shimla was inundated with many bouts of heavy snowfall this past winter. While tourists initially flocked to the Himachal hill station town, they soon realized that the inconveniences outweighed the novelty of snowfall in Shimla. Roads were choked with snow and traffic, electricity outages, water problems and more weighed in. See the profusion of the white stuff in January and February 2020, in the upper reaches of Shimla hill station.
