Archival footage of Mumbai's favourite festival where they introduce Ganesh statues into the Arabian Sea, in large processions. Thousands if not hundred thousands of Ganesha devotees march the streets of Bombay or Mumbai on the last day of Ganesh Chaturthi. The last day is the biggest celebration known as Ganesh Visarjan and the idol of Ganesha is immersed in the water. The idols of Ganesha or Ganpati are marched towards the shores of the Arabian Sea by the devotees with chants, trumpets and music. Law enforcement security personnel are in place in case of any untoward incidents. A coast guard chopper is also seen hovering above the shore as devotees immerse Ganesh idols into the water and bid adieu to the Hindu god of prosperity and wisdom until the next festival. Ganesh Chaturthi is cele
