Mig and Mirage fighter jets of the Indian Air Force leave jet trails as seen from our estate in the Himalaya. They have got temporarily stationed near Dehradun, to train and prepare for potentials scenarios wherein there is an Indo-China conflict and they need to defend Indian land, territory and interests along the Uttarakhand - Tibet border across the Niti Pass. There is no air base near Dehradun so perhaps the fighters are doing sorties from Bareilly air field in Uttar Pradesh?
