Mithun Chakraborty says "As usual I was playing with my colleagues and after everything was over I came back to Bombay and then one day Mr. Bimal Dutt, assistant to Hrishi da, I was going to my workout in Talvarkars and he says I am looking for you. I said you looking for me? He said yea Mrinal Sen is looking for you. I said I have never met him, do not know him, never been introduced so how can this be?" One of the most eminent personalities in Bollywood, Mithun Chakraborty started his illustrious career as a mere junior artist. However, his debut with Mrinal Sen's National Award-winning film Mrigayaa (1976), earned him his maiden National award for Best Actor.
