A Nepali woman creates beautiful embroidery circa 1998, in Kalimpong, West Bengal, near Darjeeling. She works on her weaving hand loom. Kalimpong Arts and Crafts is what the sign board reads, as part of the Industrial Co-operative Society Ltd., as part of DGHC, and founded in 1897. The showroom reveals old machinery that was used when the society was founded in the late nineteenth century. Tibetan motifs and imagery are created as part of the designs. Machinery from T Robinson & Sons in Rochdale England is also on display within the showroom.
