Indian weddings are much talked about because of their 'loudness' but let us take you on a lesser-known yet spectacular wedding tradition of the Garhwalis in Uttarakhand. In the tricky terrain of this high altitude village, the locals have made the wedding quite spectacular with the groom leaving his house to receive the bride at her own residence. This starts off with the heavily attired groom sitting on a decorated mule (khachar) and then cars to reach the bride's house.
