Milk traders gather in a crowded bylane of Varanasi for the day's dairy deals! Cow and buffalo milk is bought and sold here, to supply the city its dairy needs. A milkman carries a small container with which to measure and sell his milk stock. Milk canisters covered with leaves to prevent spillage in vehicular transit. Money changes hands as the milk deal is done. Money is counted. A flourishing milk trade exists in all the cities of India - here you see a large trading hub in Varanasi.
