Tree plantation in India: An enthusiastic Prof. CR Babu interacts with volunteers during the 'Green Drive' held in South Delhi Biodiversity Park. Prof CR Babu has been active in working for environmental safety and also brought the Dept of Environmental Studies to Delhi University. He also worked for the development of biodiversity parks in the city apart from teaching in the Dept. of Biology in University of Delhi. TOI in collaboration with Hero Motorcorp and Delhi Development Authority took up this initiative to plant trees and create biodiversity parks in major cities in India and to combat rising levels of air pollution.
